I loved Rapunzel by K.C. Hilton! This was a favourite Fairy Tale of mine as a child, and over the years the version of this story changed a few times. I was hesitant to read this story because I didn't like the other versions. I can now saw I have a New Favourite Author. K.C. did an Amazing job rewriting a Classic Tale. I also loved the fact that it was Rapunzel's Story(From her point of view) The story was so real to me that I wanted to punch that old Witch in the face so many times. To be separated from her family, and the Man she fell in love with just broke my heart right along with Rapunzel's. I wasn't to sure at first on the Dragon, I didn't know whether to love or hate him. LOL Another thing I loved is that even when she met another man, she stayed true to herself and the very first man she fell in love with, who apparently the hateful Witch had killed. K.C. Hilton finished up the book with such a twist, that I was like "WHAT THE" LOL She surprised me with an ending that all came together perfectly. 5* Stars for "Rapunzel"

I didn't love this or hate it. It was just OK. I found this book on good reads and thought it sounded AMAZING, so I was excited to find it and download it to my . Unfortunately it just was not really a story. It could have been 150 pages less and would not made a difference in the storytelling. All she seemed to do was repeat her history in like 4 different ways. MEH
I love fairy tale retelling and was looking for another favorite to add to my lists. This was just okay. I did not love it. The story stayed semi close to the fairy tale but I did not like how stupid she was. I mean really she got mad but did not ever do anything about it. What about her parents journals? Yeah, good idea in theory just not a good execution.
This would have been a really good read if it had made any sense at all. Unfortunately it bounced around so much that I had to put it down for six months and then come back to it to see if by starting over I could understand it. Fortunately I finally finished it, but it was a big let down.
This book just lacked a lot for me. Lack of plot, character development, romance, adventure...it was just eh. I think I had different expectations based on the book description which promised a lot more of something. It was definitely a twist on the fairy tale, that point I can't argue but there was a constant back and forth between past and present that was rather annoying and hard to follow. It just didn't work for me. The whole book was just slow and didn't have any real build up. The cover of the book was the most exciting part.
I thoroughly enjoyed MY NAME IS RAPUNZEL. Having enjoyed fairy tales as a child, mother and grandmother finally there is one just for me! I loved the goodness of the dragon and his strange relationship with Rapunzel. I enjoyed reading her through her many years, all the changes in time. I came to understand even immortality is not a blessing if you could not be with the one you loved. Thank you K.C. Hilton for a sweet story that allowed me to escape to the land of fairy tales again. I know I will be looking for more stories that you have written! I recommend this book to anyone who wants to believe once again, if only just for little while. Fairy tales can come true!
I saw this book in me email feed and my interest was piqued. I found, to my dismay, that this book was one of those that should be started much earlier in the day than I did. I had to reluctantly put it down somewhere in the region of 2.00 am last night. I resumed again this evening and I was not disappointed.

This is a vibrant new take on the story of Rapunzel. The characterization was great and it held my interest despite guessing a part. This only added to my enjoyment as I wondered when this would become clear to the main character. Nice twist in the ending I would never have guessed. Loved it. This was my xmas treat to me and it was excellent.
I was excited to read this book, I thought it sounded good and convinced my friends to read it for book club with me. Sadly, we were a bit disappointed. The idea was great, but it didn't pan out. It's a pretty easy, quick read, and maybe that is the problem. There were certain things that the author touched on but never brought up again or explained very well, and we were left scratching our heads. Also, considering the time span of the book, the author just breezed right through the book without a lot of story or character development. Another thing, was that Rapunzel took so long to do something about her situation. For someone who wanted to die like normal people, she was sure afraid to solve her own mystery and fight to end the curse, she just waited.
But it wast all bad, it was a cute story, just don't expect too much. If you want a quick, lighthearted, easy read, then read this book.
